While Jan merely chuckled at Riku's remark, Thanh Van caught Riku's message loud and clear.
Riku trusted no one, and that included Thanh Van or as they knew him as Ruan An.
A smile crept its way on Thanh Van's lips, but he suppressed it. He squeezed the warm hand with equal strength of determination that seemed to surprise the E-ranker.
"A smart way of living in this type of situation, Riku." Thanh Van said softly and Riku offered him a slight nod as their hands parted in amicable ways.
"Well, you know Riku here is so paranoid that he doesn't even want to use his first name-", Jan quieted mid sentence, when the grand doors were pulled open, the metal grinding loudly, silencing whatever chatter that had existed just a moment before.
