Kim Jihun's heart thumped a little heavier than a moment before.
The kitten whose attention he had been vying for weeks now was suddenly in someone else's graces.
He felt a little regretful although he knew better.
He couldn't offer the kitten a home, not when he rarely was present and the place was cold and lonely.
So if there was someone else to offer the little one a loving home… Who was he to feel upset over it?
"Are you going to take it home?" Kim Jihun asked as he stepped closer, the pack of treats crushed against his palm despite his relaxed and polite smile.
The man didn't answer right away, scratching the kitten from below the chin before he straightened, stormy gray eyes clashing with the amber ones. "I can't. But you can, Kim Jihun."
Kim Jihun's heart ebbed to a halt before a man who eerily reminded him of his own reflection, yet there was enough difference to calm Kim Jihun's demeanor - barely.
