S CITY POLICE COMMAND
"Why isn't he answering," Madam Fu groaned and shook her phone angrily as she paced about the room.
Her nose flared as she heard irritatingly loud whispers. She clenched her jaw and shifted her gaze to the source of the sniffles a slender woman dressed in a black knit gown.
The woman stiffened as she met Madam Fu's sharp gaze, "m-mother".
Madam Fu narrowed her eyes at her daughter-in-law, "Shut it! You are not at a funeral". She sneered as the younger woman jumped and muttered an apology.
She has always seen this daughter-in-law of hers as an eyesore. If her father hadn't personally arranged her son union before he died, she would have gotten rid of her by now.
She sneered, shook her head, and muttered, "Useless".
