Shaking his head to get rid of the depressing thoughts, he quickly chewed on the bones, swallowing the bones of these Black-scaled fish until there was nothing left.
Letting out a turbid air with fishy stench, he grabbed at the second fish. This was the one the tentacle monster had used to bait him. It was even smaller than normal black-scale fish.
Lucifer had even lower expectation of this one and seriously pondered if he should eat the flesh or sell it for another savage beast flesh.
But after a second glance, he noticed something different about the skin of the fish. Compared to the black steel like skin of the Black-scaled Fish, this one seem different.
Its scales wasn't as black as others and it even seem to turn slightly purple at a different angle.
Its black scale slightly glowed a radiant purplish glaze like that of the rare obsidian gem with its structure even more defined and it's scales and fin more detailed and seemingly muscular than that of a normal Black-scale Fish.
"Strange." Lucifer muttered with a frown but his actions didn't slow down.
Raising his machete high, with the grace of a million practice, he swiftly swung the old blade heavily five centimeters away from the head.

Sparks flew off and even the old machete had a slight dent on its sharp edge.
This time, Lucifer's face changed. He was obviously not expecting the scale to be so hard even after two hours being boiled with the bone-softenening liquid.
This was the first time he was experiencing something like this.
Recovering his stance, he gazed weirdly at the black fish, not expecting it to be this hard.
While he was weak, with the amount of force and strength he had accumulated and used, he could have at least opened up the beast scale as he had struck 5cm from their head.
The bony young man clad in a tightly fitted dirty black cloth couldn't believe it and hacked at it again only to be forced back by the rebounding force.
Lucifer's curiosity immediately exploded. He dropped the machete and went ahead to boil the Black-scale fish even more.

This time, Lucifer dripped 5 drops of his bone softening liquid inside the pot. Twice that of what he used for the previous fish.
It was a green coloured cream that smelled more like herbs than spice. He covered the entirety of the fish with the cream while leaving it to boil for more 4 hours.
With the skin already softened by the heat, Lucifer immediately sliced the skin and tore a piece of flesh from its skin and swallowed without thinking. Then he heard a familiar robotic voice he was quite familiar with.
