Another knock came, followed by Mr Marvin's voice. "Leila" he called out with a knock "Is there a problem?" he added, sounding greatly concerned
He waited to get a reply back from her or at least for her to open the door, but after a few minutes nothing came.
"Leila, please speak to me," he said
He leaned his ear closer to the door to get any sound or noise but nothing. Leila's room hardly sends out any noise, and he never really had an issue with it until today.
Something was troubling her, and he could not hear anything from within.
He sighed as he knocked again. Beatrice joined him with her eyes on him after a glance at the door before him.
She could see the pain of Leila's reaction all over his face. Her heart dropped, seeing him like this. She has always noticed the way he stared at her, with love and admiration but sometimes with a glint of sadness.
