Once Leila, Shade and Grey crossed the door, Shade and Grey became invisible. She was then led to the parking lot and the car, which was opened for her.
Before she could step in, she felt someone tugging at her gown and she turned to find a young girl of about six years of age staring at her with an outstretched hand that held a small custom-made jewellery box.
Leila's eyes darted around in search of anyone who by chance had been accompanying the girl before she ran off, but to her surprise, there was not even a single soul around.
Even the guards were nowhere to be seen. Presumably, they left their post when they were called to shoot her and are yet to return. Leila shook her head at the thought of what happened a few minutes ago as a sly smile appeared on her lips.
She then turned back to the girl who was still stretching her hands with the box on it. She crouched to be of the same height as her, but she was still a bit taller.
