Beatrice remained at the dining table with her left arm on the table as she stared at Leila.
"What is it?" Leila asked, noticing her stares.
Beatrice opened her mouth to speak when a car horn attracted them. Followed by the sound of a car driving into the premises.
No one had left the house and the cars were still parked in the garage, so who was it?
Beatrice opened her mouth to speak, but Mr Marvin beat her to it.
"Expecting anyone?" he asked as he moved closer to the table
He had on a new attire. Leila scanned him from head to toe, but behind her mug as she took a sip. He was good-looking and the white hairs did nothing but made him stand out.
Leila now wonders why he chose to remain in the wheelchair despite being able to walk, or maybe he does not think her can yet.
Beatrice shook her head at his question. She was not expecting anyone. She had no one except Leila and now Mr Marvin.
