Leila needed to know what people could see when she was seeing differently. What her body did and her behaviour.
At the back of her mind, she hoped there was not too much display of craziness. Maybe if she did lose herself in front of others, it won't do too much damage to her reputation.
"I could not see, but I could hear," Fay said
Leila left most of Fay's gadgets in the house. She even left her AI guards at the lab as well. Fay tried to convince her to take them with her so that at least she could use their eyes to see her, and they could protect her, but Leila remained stubborn about it.
And did not bring them.
Fay was bothered by Leila's situation when it happened. She was not with her claws or her little machine she could control to pick up things so that she could try to calm her.
