Leila opened her eyes slowly to find the room lit as she sat on the floor at the side of her bed in front of the bedside drawer.
Her eyes dart around the room with fear in them. She studied the environment. It looked the same as when she stepped in; tidy.
No broken glass, no blood stains.
She turned to her feet, and she still had on her boots.
She hallucinated again!
She thought she had passed that by now, but she was back where it started.
Her hand flung to grip her hair. Tugging on it as the noises she heard previously returned.
Knock! Knock!
She winced as she snapped her head to the door. It felt as though the sound of the knock came closer then went away, adding to the already disturbing sounds that kept playing in her head.
Her gaze fell, so did her hands as she placed her palm on the floor, glaring at them. She folded her fist slowly, getting angry at herself.
