Xylon's heart sank as Eva walked towards the gate, her tears a stark contrast against her determined gait. He had never seen her like this before, so broken and defeated.
He couldn't help but feel responsible for her pain, for not being able to protect her from the dangers that lurked beyond the farm's boundaries.
As she pushed open the gate and stepped outside, Xylon's surprise quickly turned to confusion. He had always believed that once someone entered the farm, they could never leave.
But Eva had just proven him wrong, and it left him feeling disoriented and lost.
" That bitch just lied to me about leaving this fucking dumpster" he shouted, refering to Akuna.
Without thinking, Xylon ran towards the gate, hoping to catch up to Eva before she disappeared from his sight. But he couldn't bring himself to step outside.
He stood there, watching as she walked away, her figure growing smaller and smaller until she was just a speck in the distance.
The scene of the abyss still lingered in his mind, taunting him with its mystery. Xylon didn't know what to make of it, but one thing was clear: Eva's departure had left him feeling more confused than ever before.
For the next three days, Xylon sat outside of his fields, feeling lost and helpless. He couldn't enter it because Akuna disappeared after she sank into the pond.
With Eva's absence, he just felt like he had made a huge mistake somewhere along the way. His thoughts were consumed with the past, present, and future, and he couldn't help but wonder if he had made a mistake that cost him dearly.
Instead of practicing reincarnation, which was his usual routine, he just did his daily chores to avoid the boredom that came with his loneliness.
The once-vibrant farm felt dull and lifeless without Eva and Akuna's presence, and even the animals seemed to sense the absence of their caretaker. Xylon would often sit by the pond, staring at his reflection in the water, lost in thought.
Despite his attempts to distract himself, his mind kept returning to the events of the past few days. He couldn't shake off the feeling that he had failed his mission.
His sense of confusion was palpable, and it weighed heavily on his shoulders. He knew he needed to find a way to make things right, but he didn't know where to begin.
As he sat there, lost in thought, a strange feeling came over him. It was as if someone was watching him, but he couldn't see anyone around. He looked around, but there was no one there. Just as he was about to dismiss the feeling, he heard a voice.
As Xylon was lost in his thoughts and daily chores, he was suddenly jolted out of his reverie by the sound of a dog barking. He quickly turned around to see Akuna, now in her dog form, staring at him intently.
A small smirk crossed Xylon's face as he hadn't expected to see her again after the incident at the pond.
However, the sight of Akuna in front of him filled him with a glimmer of hope. Maybe he could finally get some answers about what had happened to her and how he could fix it.
He approached her slowly, unsure of how she would react after their last encounter.
As he got closer, Akuna wagged her tail happily and licked his hand, almost as if she was trying to apologize for her previous behavior.
Xylon couldn't help but smile at her antics. Despite her unusual form, Akuna still held a certain charm and familiarity that made Xylon feel less alone.
He took her presence as a sign to start practicing reincarnation once again.
" Where were you ?" he said as he sat on the grass.
But as soon as Akuna transformed back into her human form, Xylon was met with a tone of accusation and anger. "You almost killed me that day, what was your purpose?" she demanded, her eyes burning with fury.
She turned the tables on him and asked why he had almost killed her.
Xylon was taken aback by her question. "What do you mean?" he asked, confused.
"You kept the gate open for three days," she replied, her eyes filled with anger. "You sucked my energy and almost killed me."
Xylon couldn't help but respond sarcastically, "Now you remembered that you were angry? You were licking my hand just seconds ago."
Akuna looked away, feeling embarrassed, and muttered, "In my dog form, I am useless. My behaviors are based on my instincts."
Xylon was frustrated and desperate for answers. He had been searching for the truth about answers for days, and Akuna was the only one who could provide the information he needed. But she was reluctant to share her secrets, and Xylon was growing impatient.
He pushed her to the ground, his body looming over hers. Akuna's heart raced as she remembered the horrors she had witnessed at Xylon's hands. She tried to squirm away, but he held her firmly in place.
"No, bitch," he growled. "You are going to talk about the secrets you are hiding."
Akuna swallowed hard, fear pulsing through her veins. She knew Xylon was capable of terrible things, but she also knew that he would harm her. physically and emotionally.
"Please, Xylon," she pleaded. "I can't tell you everything. It's too dangerous."
Xylon's eyes narrowed. "What do you mean, dangerous?"
Akuna hesitated, trying to find the right words. "There are powerful forces, Xylon. Forces that you can't even begin to comprehend."
Xylon's grip tightened, and Akuna winced in pain. "Don't talk to me like I'm some kind of idiot. I know more than you think."
Akuna's eyes widened in surprise. "What do you mean?"
Xylon's expression softened slightly as he spoke to Akuna. "I've been practicing reincarnation, Akuna. I've seen things. Things that have given me a glimpse into the true nature of this place," he said. His voice was tinged with a hint of awe and confusion, and Akuna couldn't help but feel a sense of unease.
"That day I kept the gate open for days because I discovered something. Something that I think shouldn't have been discovered," Xylon continued. He looked away, lost in thought, as if he were reliving that moment.
Akuna looked deeply into his eyes, sensing that something was off. She bit her lip with anger, not wanting to hear what Xylon was about to say. "Don't tell me you reached that place, Xylon," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Xylon didn't say explicitly what he saw at the borders of the celestial garden, but the mere mention of it was enough to elicit a strong reaction from Akuna. She shouted, "No, no, this is not happening! Don't tell me that... Xylon, you reached the borders?"
"I am not the only one, right? This fucking job is not that special like you and all those fucking divine creatures made me think," Xylon said, his voice filled with bitterness and frustration.
