Chapter 401 - Arthur was not god

X responded with a knowing smirk, his expression conveying a sense of vindication despite his weakened state. 

He didn't have the strength to vocalize his response, but the smirk spoke volumes, silently affirming Xylon's realization with a subtle "I told you so."

X's sarcastic retort pierced as he mockingly referred toXylon as "beloved twin." 

However, Xylon's glare cut through the sarcasm, his eyes ablaze with intensity.

"She claimed one of them, though," Xylon stated sharply. "Did you know that?"

X's laughter echoed hollowly in the dimly lit chamber.

"Mother was a healer," he began, his voice dripping with contempt. "She had powers. Of course, she would realize what was inside of her. Of course, she would claim one of them, because the other one is a demon." 

His words were laced with mockery, each syllable a barb aimed at Xylon's growing agitation.

Xylon leaned against the wall, his gaze piercing as he locked eyes with X.
