Micah was too stunned to react at first. He hadn't thought that Pride would suddenly collapse with a haughty expression on his face after that display of power. But, apparently, his recovered strength wasn't perfect. It was either temporary, or it came at a cost.
Whatever it was, Pride wasn't as reliable or potentially dangerous as he had appeared to be when he looked at Micah and decided not to kill him or give him the same treatment as Gunnel.
If he had done that to Micah, it wouldn't have mattered, even if he was a human. Micah wouldn't have been able to restore his body. And even if he were, he would just die as soon as he recovered.
It was something Micah had begun to realize when Pride had signaled using the rubble and making it fall from the ceiling while he talked to Gunnel. Infinite resurrections weren't necessarily a blessing in every situation.
