Still skeptical, Gunnel questioned Micah with a frown.
Micah shrugged.
"Oh, not much. Just that you, and probably most, if not all, of Baron Stramphzod's subordinates, aren't blindly loyal to him out of just loyalty."
While he had his own suspicions, that was indeed all that Micah could say for certain regarding the relationship between Baron Stramphzod and his subordinates.
When he put together what he had learned from Stumps, Hakkel, and his other interactions with the Hungry Hogs, as well as his deductions and theories about Baron Stramphzod's plans, that was what Micah could practically confirm.
Baron Stramphzod had a method to control the people under him and guarantee absolute obedience. If they didn't obey, Micah had a hunch they would end up like Stumps, mind-broken, mindless, rampaging beasts.
