Rego left the underground greenhouse and Pride's Mansion with heavy steps. At least Pride didn't stop him from leaving, despite having no intentions to do so himself.
Rego couldn't say that he had tried his best to persuade Pride. But only because it wouldn't have mattered even if he had done that instead of laying into him about his disgraceful attitude and decision to continue expanding the underground greenhouse.
