Micah wouldn't have been surprised if he had missed it since it hid in a smaller pouch taking cover beneath another larger one. Micah understood why as soon as he opened the tiny leather bag. There was no way Hakkel would want it to be easy to find.
But that wasn't the only thing Micah found as he climbed up the Lion's Mane Hog. So after pocketing the leather bag, he returned to where Hakkel's body was.
Micah smiled as he saw that he had remembered correctly.
He hadn't seen it before since it was so far away and because he was looking at more relevant things. But now that he had Hakkel's body right in front of him, Micah saw a wooden token that could easily fit inside Hakkel's hand but was a little too large for him.
He didn't think much of it before since he thought it was just an identification token or something. But now that he had seen a similar symbol etched on the Lion's Mane Hog's saddle, Micah realized what it might be.
