"Micah…."
Hakkel looked at Micah, walking closer at a relaxed pace. He realized that he had been played by someone Micah, whom Hakkel thought wouldn't be able to emerge victorious, even if he used traps and schemes.
Hakkel had been confident in his physical strength and his ability to overpower anything that stood in his path. And given enough time, Hakkel felt that he would be able to get his body off the spikes. He might even be able to break the spikes with his hammer if he had thought of that and tried to do that before Micah appeared.
But the grievous injuries inflicted by the spikes lodged deep in his body made Hakkel want to get them out as quickly as possible.
