Micah couldn't believe he had forgotten such a critical piece of information and reprimanded himself twice before starting to think about the answer to his question. The demons obviously couldn't be anywhere else other than Vanitapolis.
But what he didn't understand was why they hadn't made their appearance. Chris and Art hadn't mentioned them when they returned from guiding the residents to Pride's Mansion and introduced them to Hugo so they could help speed up the process of digging the underground greenhouse.
Even if the demons were merely moving around town in a panic, Micah felt like at least Art would have mentioned it. But since he didn't, it had to have been because the demons weren't on his mind. And the only reason he wouldn't think of the demons that Micah was willing to consider was if he hadn't seen them.
