Kairon didn't even fly backward after getting punched by Hakkel. Despite lowering his center of gravity, Hakkel still had a significant height advantage over Kairon, so when he struck out with his fist, it sent Kairon crashing head-first into the ground.

Anyone could understand if the people of Vanitapolis wanted to object to the Hungry Hogs Corps annihilating Vanitapolis. But if they didn't have the necessary strength to back that objection up, they would only be setting themselves up for more pain and suffering. It would be better just to accept their fates and keel over like pigs waiting for slaughter.
Kairon stepping forth and objecting, despite his lacking strength, was more foolish than admirable and brave. And his fate after a single one of Hakkel's strikes was proof of that.
