Since Micah was busy piercing the dust cloud with his eyes to see if he could make out any distinctive features or figures, Baldas was indirectly put in charge of keeping the others, food-dazed from the feast, from straying or falling too far behind.
Baldas flew around the heads of Tineya, Kairon, and the others who were in need of his assistance. He couldn't do much other than nudge them in the right direction. Thankfully, that was all he had to do to keep them on the right track.
Eventually, they started walking properly without his interference, so Baldas flew back to Micah's side.
"Do you think it would be possible for you to fly and scout ahead?"
Micah's question wasn't weird since Baldas could fly quite quickly. He was also naturally suited to be a scout.
"Are you crazy?"
But Baldas knew better.
