Hugo heard and saw out of the corner of his eye that the door into the house opened and naturally assumed that Rego was returning to oversee the progress.
"Rego! You're back, good. We have a–"
As he looked up, he saw that it was Pride who had left the house and grew silent. It was completely reasonable for Pride to want to see how things were going as well, so Hugo almost wondered why he hadn't considered it and assumed Rego would be the one to come through the door.
But Hugo didn't spare more than a second on those thoughts. Now that Pride was here, Hugo wasn't sure if he should continue or not. Pride might not be too happy about them having a problem less than an hour after beginning work.
But Rego stepped out from behind Pride's massive figure and stopped Hugo from worrying by urging him to continue.
"What do we have, Hugo?"
Hugo glanced cautiously at Pride. Rego and Pride both noticed it.
