With the three executives personally taking action and leading the fourth-rank employees in cleaning everyone's pockets of pol, it didn't take long until they were done for the day. A lot of people were understandably dissatisfied with the sudden intensity and ferocity that had left everyone without even a single coin.
But there was nothing they could do about it. Well, there was one thing. If they didn't want to suffer too much from the loss of pol, they would have to get more. But when all the pol in town had already ended up in the hands of those at the top, there was only one other place where they could get pol.
Gradually, people began heading toward the demons' part of town, where the reflection facilities were. Although they were called that, they were more like entries to different parts of Purgatory. But the name made it easier for the residents to convince themselves they should enter.
