Micah immediately worried that Pride had overheard his discussion with Baldas and had taken offense. He quickly looked back on what they had said to see if there was a way to save the situation and explain themselves to Pride before he got absorbed in anger and sadness and got rid of them.
However, as he tried to pry Pride's mood from his face, Micah realized that Pride wasn't looking at them. He was looking at Tineya. Micah was about to ask Tineya if she had been in contact with Pride before when Pride spoke.

The large, red-haired, and bearded man already had a naturally deep voice befitting his stature and height, but it seemed like he had lowered it another notch as he spoke to Tineya.
