Micah and Pride calmed themselves down by drinking and savoring their coffee.
Micah's excitement had been mostly overplayed to get Pride in the mood and wash away any worries that might become a wrench in his plans, but Micah also felt a few tremors of nervousness spread around his heart.
He had initially planned on solidifying his relationship with Pride quite a bit further before even attempting what he had just done. He didn't know Pride all that well, and more importantly, Pride didn't know him beyond his name and plumber background, and that part was even a lie.
Getting Pride to trust him and be willing to follow his suggestion and regain his strength was a gamble, to begin with, and Micah had thrown his dice a little too early since he was anxious about the Usurper.
