Micah took a deep breath and opened the system window with the Negotiation Tactic Handbook tab, and flipped to the second page. He didn't pull out the wrench at once since he wasn't sure things would come to blows. But if things went in that direction, he didn't want to waste several seconds flipping around with the system.
With the red holographic screen hanging onto the corner of his vision, Micah stepped into the shabby but still robust diner.
Unsurprisingly, it was empty, except for two people. The restaurant owner and manager, the guy behind the bar. And his target, the big fellow sitting in the dark corner of the restaurant, Stumps.
The diner was empty since all the other residents were busy hanging around inside the Cube, watching the fight, or outside the Cube, waiting for the night to end so that they could hear what had happened, who had fought who, and so on.
