Gunnel stopped and turned to face Micah as soon as they left the underground greenhouse.
"Now what?"
"Not wasting any time, are we? I guess that's good."
Micah looked around them to see if there was anything they could sit on and to see what had happened with everyone else.
The corpses of the humans and demons Micah had seen resting as he sprinted past to reach Pride were torn apart and spread out across the backyard. And he didn't see any traces of the other workers, so they had probably fled or regrouped elsewhere.
Micah looked at Gunnel.
"Alright, first off. I'm not sure this is going to work for obvious reasons, but don't give up too quickly."
"Okay. Just get started."
"Can you…?"
Micah gestured for Gunnel to bend down. Slightly hesitant, Gunnel obeyed and bent at both the knees and the waist to give Micah access to his bald head.
