Gunnel launched his arm from his side in a proper straight punch with a slight downward angle, fully intending to blast Micah's head beyond open and paint the dirt and rock wall with his brain, bone, and blood.
He saw Micah's hand move, but it was comparatively slow to his own hand's movement. And, no matter what Micah did, it would be too late.
However, halfway through its movement, Gunnel's arm changed direction and sank even further as it lost its speed and momentum to match Micah's. Gunnel noticed it as soon as it happened, but he was too stunned to react. Before he knew it, he was clasping Micah's hand and shaking it.
Gunnel stared right into Micah's eyes, who met his own without faltering. Micah shook hands with Gunnel with a firm hand. Well, as firm as he could since Gunnel's hand was too big for him to grasp it properly.
"What the fuck?"
Gunnel was too shocked by what had just happened and voiced his confusion without thinking about it.
