After ducking Gunnel's punch, Micah rolled to the side to avoid getting grabbed.
Rolling around on the dusty ground wasn't the most elegant move, but it made full use of the size difference between Micah and Gunnel. Since he was so tall, Gunnel had trouble reaching the ground, and Micah who stayed close to it as he readied another swing using the momentum from his somersault.
Gunnel lifted his foot and stepped back to avoid the wrench headed for his ankle.
Although Gunnel was physically strong, he still had the structural weaknesses most humanoids did. His joints were fragile enough that even someone of Micah's weight class could injure them, especially when using a heavy iron wrench.
When Gunnel dodged his attack, Micah shot toward his other leg.
Although he had been on the verge of losing the initiative when Gunnel forced him to dodge, Micah had retaken it when he made Gunnel step back without being able to launch a counterattack at the same time.
