Once they had settled what Micah wanted to settle, and there was nothing stopping them from proceeding, Gunnel didn't waste any time. He immediately began the duel with the customary greeting and salute after removing his weapon and armor.
Micah knew he didn't have another way to buy more time. He could only accept the duel and fight. Besides, after Gunnel's concessions, Micah could tell that he wouldn't wait much longer. He had let Micah use his ability and taken off his armor and weapon. So, logistically speaking, Micah had a slight advantage, even if his ability was just to procure an iron wrench, which didn't even level the playing field.
