Rego also considered mentioning the possibility of recruiting Hugo to the higher ranks of Wither if he did a good job. But Hugo's comment about the goons of Wither being clowns made Rego think twice. In the end, he didn't say anything and just waited for Hugo to make a decision.
"Hmm. Are you going, Kairon?"
"Yep. Well, on my part, it's only one thing of a larger deal I made with Micah."
"Who's Micah?"
"The boss of Wither."
"Oh, that guy. What else are you going to do?"
Kairon looked at Rego, unsure if he was allowed to tell Hugo about it. Rego answered in Kairon's stead.
"We'll tell you based on your performance if you decide to take the job."
"Bugger. Guess I don't have a choice then."
Hugo sighed in an attempt to mask the smile on his lips before grunting and standing up.
