Ezekiel's mind was a tangled mess of dark thoughts, harboring a desire to inflict pain upon those closest to him and sow seeds of chaos in his surroundings.
When his grandfather Edward took him with him, he wrote a new page for his life.
His parents were certainly going to eradicate him, however, when Edward stood for him he got a new chance to live.
' I will not miss it ' He thought all the time.
They lived in the countryside, Ezekiel knew that his grandparents from earth1 lived there but he never visited them, it was always the same, because they were the ones visiting them on all occasions. He never wondered why that was happening but from what he saw in this alternative world, his parents were not on good terms with his grandparents.
Edward's house was a splendid sight to behold, constructed in a traditional style and standing proudly for many years. It boasted numerous spacious rooms, a quaint traditional kitchen, two immaculate bathrooms, and a stunning garden lovingly tended to by his grandmother. Moreover, the house was adjacent to an expansive farm, which was expertly managed by Ezekiel's grandparents.
In the beginning, Ezekiel was lost. Having never set foot outside of the bustling city, he was overwhelmed by the strange and otherworldly nature of his new surroundings. Everything felt foreign and unfamiliar, and the oppressive stillness of the air was almost suffocating.
But as the days turned into weeks and the weeks into years, Ezekiel began to understand. He learned to appreciate the quiet and the solitude, and to embrace the sense of peace that permeated every inch of the landscape around him. And with this newfound understanding came a new awareness of his own abilities.
As years passed, he realized that Edward was the only one who cared for him, and his grandmother Gege was more like a spy to his mother.
She told her every single detail about him growing up, and he hated that because that made him feel uncomfortable, it felt like his parents were just waiting for the day when he would fall into their trap.
He became more in control of his power, he increased his level of concentration over the year and which made him capable of being much stronger.
At the tender age of six, Ezekiel embarked on a remarkable journey, one that would forever change the course of his life. Despite his young age, he was determined to enroll in a school with kids his own age, even if it meant jeopardizing everything that he held dear.
With his powers under control, Ezekiel passed the entrance exam with flying colors, much to the surprise of his peers and teachers. The school was much like any other school on Earth, with the exception of the obligatory magic classes.
Ezekiel soon found himself delving into the mystical world of magic, attending classes on the history of magic, protection spells, everyday magic, and healing magic. However, there was something strange about the magic classes that Ezekiel couldn't quite put his finger on.
Even though he was still a first-year student, he sensed that there was something amiss.
Determined to uncover the truth, Ezekiel confided in Edward, who explained that things were exactly as they appeared to be.
There was no class for spells that are used to attack, there was nothing advanced about the spells they studied.
Only then, Ezekiel realized that this was the reason for his grandfather's words on his first day of school, he was six but somehow Edward always treated him as if he was a grown-up.
" Listen to me kid, in this world there is only one to blame if things went wrong, people with supremacy signs, just a few years ago I was just like everyone else, I thought that these people were the reason for every messed up thing that happen in our world, however, when I first saw your face and my eyes captured that cute smile of yours I just couldn't let them hurt you"
Ezekiel nodded his head, so Edward patted his hair then said :" Just make sure not to let anyone know about this, okay, dear!"
Ezekiel knew that already, his own parents wanted to kill him after that, so of course he wouldn't put faith in anyone .
All the ropes were cut after that, his parents never visited, and his grandparents visited them once a year just to give them updates that Ezekiel was under control .
' If things are meant to happen the same way as on earth then Nathan is going to be born this year ' He thought to himself one day when he was practicing what he learned in school .
Ezekiel didn't try to be number one at school but he ended up being that, he was already having that title in his first life and for his second one he didn't even put effort into it.
And in contrast to spending his whole time studying, Ezekiel just thought rationally and spent it practicing every spell in their books, he even put his hands on books of advanced classes and he ended up finishing all of them .
The moment he controlled his power everything was pretty much clear, yet it was not satisfactory because when he compared it to what he saw in movies, the spells in those programs were just too weak .
'Equal powers..equal society…more justice '
That was the slogan of the world here, and every time Ezekiel was forced to chant it at school he felt sick because he realized that this place was nothing like earth.
This place was eradicating individuality and oppressing overpowered people for a reason that he didn't know .
This place was called earth too, however, so that Ezekiel wouldn't lose his head between the two places he marked it as earth 2 in his head.
Even after all these years, Ezekiel was still having those nightmares about his little brother, however, when he realized that his birthday was very close he calmed down for a bit.
When he reached 13, and exactly on the same day his brother Nathan was born, he insisted on his grandfather to visit his parents, it was out of the blue, yet Edward made sure to take him there .
