Reality: The natural world, bound by the laws of normalcy.

Fiction: The world of imagination where the supernatural exists.

Outerverse: The evil realm of fiction that seeks to break into reality. It is home to dangerous monsters and malevolent existences that threaten reality.

Outers: Beings from Outerverse.

The Bridge: Spatial connections used to travel between space and get to various locations.

The Exposed: Humans who become aware of the truth of the world, but do not have the ability to control their imaginative power. This causes the Veil that separates the two worlds to wear out.

The Enlightened: The few humans who are aware of the truth of the world, and have the ability to control their imaginative power. This eliminated the danger of causing the breakdown of the Veil.

Chuunibyou Challenge: The quest to protect reality from threats and potential harm. They defend the world from the creatures from Outerverse, seek to repair the Veil by reducing the number of Exposed (either by erasing their memories or enlisting them as Enlightened), and also combat rogue Enlightened ones that threaten the balance of the two worlds.

Links: Tears in The Veil. These Ruptures are caused by the weakening of The Veil, as either the members of Fiction attempt to invade Reality, or members of Reality (Exposed) who believe in the world of Fiction.

The Veil: The invisible conceptual barrier that separates reality from fiction. It is maintained by the disbelief of the denizens of reality, as well as the strong belief that reality is the only plane of existence.

Attributes: Elements that an Enlightened possesses as a special ability (eg. Fire, Darkness)

Classes: The 'Job' or category of Enlightened individuals, separating them into various specialties.

Deus: An Enlightened with two separate Classes.

Trinity: An Enlightened with three separate Classes.

Crystal Core: Leftover remnants of beings of Outerverse. Serves as a source of power for Enlightened ones. It's like the soul of humans, and how human souls serve as a source of power to the Outers.
