Elio let out a soft laugh, drawing her attention. "You're good at deflecting, I'll give you that."

Sophia shifted her focus to him, her smile unwavering. "It's not deflection if it's the truth."

"Truth?" Elio asked, raising an eyebrow. "You just happened to find us so fascinating that you had to come over and say hi?"

"Exactly," Sophia said, refusing to waver. "I thought it'd be rude not to."

Elio shrugged, his posture still annoyingly relaxed. "Believe what you want."

Sophia tilted her head, narrowing her eyes slightly. "Oh, I do. But let's be real, Elio. You didn't just 'happen' to show up here with these two," she gestured toward Tommy and Theodore, "and Allen. What's your play here?"
