Allen gave him a deadpan look. "Only if you all come with me as bodyguards."
The group burst into laughter.
Allen glanced around, taking in the faces of his usual rivals and allies. Funny, he'd always considered them as enemies first, friends second. Yet here they were, hiding together from a horde of over-eager players, and he realized that, for the first time, he was genuinely enjoying their company.
Elio caught his glance and raised an eyebrow. "Hey, I think this is the first time I've actually seen you enjoying yourself with us."
Arcana scoffed, nudging him. "Not true at all! He used to hunt with me once."
Red_King chimed in, a grin on his face. "Yeah, me too. We've taken down a lot of monsters together, and I know he enjoyed those fights. We wouldn't have managed without him. That forest is cursed."
