Larissa glanced at Allen, a teasing smirk spreading across her face. "And, as we predicted, the emperor came and saved her. Like a true dark prince," she teased, her eyes glinting with amusement.
Bella rolled her eyes, but the smile tugging at her lips betrayed her amusement. "More like corrupted her, if you ask me."
Alice joined in, quoting thoughtfully, "'Be careful what you pray for—your words might summon a god... or a devil.' That quote fits the situation perfectly." She shot a sly look at Allen, who couldn't help but cringe at the remark.
