"Oh, you guys know each other?" Marcus asked, looking between Allen, James, and Mila with a hint of curiosity.
Allen kept his professional smile intact, though even he hadn't expected to see James and Mila here. "Yes," he replied smoothly, his voice calm and controlled. "I've met them a couple of times. Not for business, though. Just casual meetings."
James finally snapped out of his stunned silence, though his mind was still scrambling to process what he was seeing.
"What are you doing here, Allen?" James blurted, his voice a mixture of confusion and disbelief. He knew, logically, that Allen being here meant he had a close connection with the Goldborne family. That much was clear. But it didn't add up. People in their circle usually flaunted such connections. Yet Allen? He had kept it hidden.
