The group didn't find any big cities along the way, but they found more empty villages… Some of them had signs of battles, but more than half had been abandoned. In the end, they decided to take a break when the sun was setting because all the exhaustion and tension were starting to pile up.
Sigma used that chance to sleep during the whole night and recover all of his vigors. The others tried to do the same, but the lack of information was starting to wear them down mentally.
Once morning came, they began to move again, and it didn't take long for them to find some traces of smoke in the sky. The group slowed down a bit to approach the area, and that had been the right choice since they eventually found a massive camp of soldiers ahead, and then they found another large walled city in the distance.
"It looks like we found the place where everyone went…" Sabrina said and then gulped. "Like literally, everyone."
