She promised herself that she would make Tiamat rue the day he forced her into marriage for the rest of his life.
The priest regained some of his composure and asked, "Tiamat, why do you go to such great lengths to force this one to marry when you can have your pick of many eligible women at Thornwyck?"
Tiamat didn't hesitate to answer, he said simply, "It's our destiny, we are fated to be together."
"More like ill fated," guffawed one of his men. "She's brought nothing but trouble from the moment she stepped foot in our world."
"You can be negative all you want," said a second man. "I can't help but envy Master Tiamat. The woman is breathtakingly beautiful but I do wonder how long this will last for beauty fades and passion dims."
