"It was not a figment of my imagination, I had a vision and a vivid one at that. It seemed so real, almost like I was reliving the past while I'm with you. Did you not feel it too?"
She could still feel the intensity of the couple's fiery love making but his skepticism made her feel uncomfortable and after a while silence stretched between them.
Then Tiamat answered, "Fiona, I had no such visions. Do not play games with me."
"What makes you think that after tonight I would ever consider marriage to a man who doesn't believe what I say?"
His eyes narrowed and the tone of voice sounded waspish to her ears, "Be glad that you shared this with me and no one else, folks around these parts would think you are going crazy, they shun the crazy around here."
"I am speaking the truth and I am innocent here."
His dismissal of her vision as nonsense truly irked her and she felt like she had fallen in his regard.
