"What does your majesty request of me?" Song Yuan said trying to play it off like everything was cool and that there was nothing to worry about.
"You and Bogsu, I hope there is nothing going on between you two?" Han Jisung asked making sure to exude his oppressive aura which sadly barely had any effect on Song Yuan.
"There is nothing between us your majesty, there is no need to worry." Song Yuan cooly said with little or no expression on his face which irked Han Jisung.
"Good because after this war, Bogsu would be marrying my son, the crown prince of Chi nation so I would say you should stay away from her for now." Han Jisung raised his head up high filled with pride that his son had more footing in status than the man before him or else he would be really worried cause he knew that this general's handsome face beat that of his son's hands down.
"Rest assured your Majesty, nothing would go wrong with the wedding and they would surely have my blessings." Song Yuan bowed with his hand on his chest then later stood up after a while as he turned around to leaved his hands involuntarily clenching tight to his cloth sheathe.
If truly Bogsu was the one whom he had searched for, for many years it also meant that she was his nephew's bride to be.
Although he had intended to put an end to the wedding at the moment he felt reluctant to do so because he wanted to be sure he wouldn't hurt his angel's feelings in the process.
"It's best if I confirm first." Song Yuan said looking up to the stars staring at them in a daze as his mind drifted back to the time they were kids, he and his little angel would lay on the grass watching the stars as they showcased their beauty in the night sky.
Han Jisung was left behind suddenly felt his knees wobble, he had followed Song Yuan because he did not trust him well enough and thought maybe he was a pervert that was going to spy on Bogsu, in the end he heard a melody that he had not heard in years and the person who sang it was Bogsu.
Seeing her stay by the lake made his mind awaken, all these time that he found Bogsu's demeanour familiar, they were indeed something he was familiar with, his late wife was a carbon copy of Bogsu back then when he had met her.
She was unruly and would not hesitate to bring one down using her greatest weapon, her mouth, after she married him and became the empress her habit died down and she slowly became reserved, elegant and collected as an Empress should be.
Han Jisung knew that it killed her inside to stay caged in the palace, having to deal with all those schemes from Song Minhyun and watching the court take decisions of her life.
The pained smile she had on her face when Song Minhyun was declared pregnant, she tried her best to act like a graceful Empress till the very end and still she died and her offspring along with her.
Han Jisung wanted to hate Bogsu for bringing back such a painful memory he has been trying to hide for two decades now but he could not bring himself to do it, instead he felt grateful to her for representing his wife image, it was like a part of her soul was left behind in the world.
The determination in Han Jisung's eyes solidified, he would surely get Bogsu to marry Han Jiwoo so that she would be family to him and he would do it at all cost.
Han Jisung glanced at the direction Song Yuan passed and sighed before walking away, he did not head towards the place they were to stay, he just felt like walking to ease the pain that was gnawing his heart at the moment, even after 20 years he was still grieving his beloved wife, that was how strong and powerful his love was for her.
Bogsu finished washing herself up and laid on the grass with her rosy cheeks not bothering to put on her clothes back, her eyes looked dull as they gazed as the stars.
"Little lamb where are you now?" Bogsu asked out loud remembering the scrawny cold looking boy she had saved in her childhood, at that moment Lin Wei travelled for some Martial arts meeting so she took care of him till he recovered and went back to his city, although she tried searching for him for years, Bogsu eventually gave up.
She did not want her little lamb to get in between the crossfire when she wages her war for revenge so it was best to let him be at the moment, when she was done with her revenge quest and had successfully avenged her mother, she would grandly take him in as her groom.
"Mother." Bogsu whispered underneath her breath, she wanted to know who killed her mother so bad so she could finally put an end to the person who ruined her once happy life.
Normally, this war, Bogsu would not have come but the fact it was Han Jisung's face at stake she changed her mind, after all no matter how many years they have been separated from each other, he was still her biological father even if her childhood did not have many memories with him he was still trying to be there always for her and her mother.
As for Han Jiwoo, Bogsu did not mind accepting him as her brother if he only had a much more mature sense and did not have to rely on his mother for everything, it was just pathetic and as for that he is not even worthy to be called a man with that attitude.
Thinking about the whiny Han Jiwoo made Bogsu remember the marriage that Han Jisung talked about, her eyes stilled as she started to immediately think of ways to evade it, there was no way she was marrying her half sibling and even if not, the only man she wanted to marry was her little lamb.
