THE NEXT DAY.
The palace stewards had delivered the imperial edict to the court yard of Eunuch Chen, standing at the gate the Steward yelled out the writings and all of the household of Eunuch Chen bowed as he read the edict.
After the edict was read, it was carefully handed over to Eunuch Chen. The edict represented the Emperor himself, so it has to be treated with caution.
"Have you sent the message I asked you to yesterday." Eunuch Chen asked his steward that was at his left hand side as he watched the palace stewards disappear into the further distance as the sun shone brightly.
"If so go prepare the carriage, we will be heading to that spot in the woods." Eunuch Chen ordered the Steward before going into his wooden Shed.
The steward brought out the carriage and halted at the gate of the Eunuch's courtyard patiently waiting for him to exit his Shed.
The Eunuch came out dressed in blue robes that made him look like a royalty.
He elegantly climbed the stairs of the carriage holding his robes while the steward held up the curtains for him.
"We may proceed." Eunuch Chen commanded lying his head back going through the plan once again.
Soon they got to a forest with tall trees standing there in their glory with their luscious green leaves that danced with the winds.
The carriage treaded in deeper into the forest till it got to a clearing where it halted, waiting for a few more minutes another carriage appeared behind the trail they had left, the carriage had beautiful carvings on it and was being ridden by a woman .
Another woman came down the carriage in a hurry not even using the stairs that was brought down for her .
The woman's face was covered in a pink veil and no one could see what she really looks like, the woman glanced around the forest afraid of being discovered, then she hurried into the Eunuch's Carriage after ensuring that the coast was cleared.
"Why did you want to see me ??" the woman voiced out cautiously after settling in the beautifully carved carriage and signalled the Steward to close the curtain parting the carriage, "did everything work out in the court yesterday?"She added curiously.
"Take off your veil first then I would give you the response you need." Eunuch Chen replied nonchalantly before resting his head against the wood once again.
Seeing his unresponsive attitude the lady had no choice but to take off her veil in annoyance and Song Minhyun delicate face came to view, "I have taken it off, now will you answer me." Song Minhyun whined putting her hands on Eunuch Chen's hands shaking them coquettishly.
Eunuch Chen took out his other hand that rested on the carriage window and patted Song Minhyun's hand reassuringly.
"Everything went well and that snobbish lady would be removed soon , in fact i'm taking you for some celebratory dinner on the outskirts of the town." He answered.
On hearing his answer Song Minhyun was elated at least the bi*ch would learn her lesson not to mess with her next time.
"What are we waiting for let's get going then." Song Minhyun urged, Eunuch Chen stood up and opened the curtain before speaking to the steward and heading back.
Soon the carriage started moving gently and Song Minhyun rested her head on Eunuch Chen's shoulder while stroking his fingers.
She was just so happy at the outcome of the meeting but that joy was meant to be destroyed soon.
As they reached the outskirts they had passed by many popular restaurants, yet they hadn't branched any.
"Chen Jihyun, where are we going exactly?" Song Minhyun asked feeling confused.
"Where do you think, to meet the person you are rejoicing over."Eunuch Chen said in a mysterious voice.
Song Minhyun pondered about what Eunuch Chen said and her eyes widened in realization, "Are we going to the new instated general's house?" Song Minhyun asked to confirm.
"Yes." Chen Jihyun confirmed, Song Minhyun realized a stance of pride as she looked into the air at least she could have an opportunity to taunt her and show her where she belongs.
The entire ride was quiet except the constant hitting of the Carriage wheels against a stone.
They soon reached a forest with a beautiful entrance, making Song Minhyun feel jealous, how can a lowlife live in this parts, she is not worth it at all.
Leaving Song Minhyun behind Eunuch Chen walked fasted into the forest, he wanted to get this over with.
Although Eunuch Chen was walking fast he would sometimes take a pause to observe his surroundings secretly shaking in fear.
If he hadn't overheard those damn ministers words maybe he won't be so scared, it was all their fault.
"Chen Jihyun, Wait up !!"Song Minhyun shouted with her voice resounding in the forest as birds flew away, creating a mystic effect.
Chen Jihyun gulped in fear and secretly glared at the woman behind him, can she be any dumber than she is now.
"I see you've come to visit me but I wonder why?" A voice suddenly said behind Chen Jihyun ears making him jolt in fear springing his fists every direction he could.
Bogsu chuckled seeing his reaction was he really that scared then why come here, "How dare you sneak up on us you lowlife!!" Song Minhyun yelled at Bogsu after recovering from the shock of her sudden appearance, she leaned against a tree to support her weight whilst using her hands to press on her chest glaring heavily at Bogsu.
"I didn't mean it your Royal highness." Bogsu said sarcastically, "Now back to my question, why are you here?" Bogsu retorted.
Seeing her attitude Eunuch Chen ordered the Steward to bring the edict forward to read it and he stepped forward standing right in front of Bogsu before reading the edict.
"The Emperor stated that as the general you shall leave in Rong Le palace and shall lead the eagle command of the army." The steward read out loud trying to hide his disgust, this woman dares not to bow before the edict.
Song Minhyun normally would have picked on that but she felt colour drain of her face, Rong Le palace she has always wanted that place to herself but yet his Majesty was given it away to this lowlife.
Song Minhyun glared at Bogsu with hatred, seems that this commoner was bent on snatching her things and she won't let that happen, Song Minhyun thought with hardening eyes before sprung forward.
