The young man scanned over their group before speaking.
"Are you two a couple?"
He gestured toward Fern.
"You two really must've started young."
Elaine started turning red, but Edol surprisingly kept his composure.
"No, we're just watching over my friend's younger sisters. As for my companion here… we're rivals."
"Hah, rivals. I can't really relate anymore…"
Despite his words sounding reminiscent, the young man's face only took on a cocky look.
Edol wasn't particularly interested in socializing with another person with a similar attitude as Ghost, but since he would be here for a while to fish, he continued speaking.
"I don't think I've seen you in Hearth before. What brings you up here?"
It was a bit of an odd question from Edol, who hadn't been here all that long himself. Still, it seemed that he'd correctly guessed that this man wasn't a local resident.
The stranger sighed in an exaggerated manner.
