It didn't take long for Ghost to find an inn for the group to shelter in for the night. Despite it being on the lower end of accommodations for Edain, it was still better than most of the inns they'd seen over in Miaan.
After booking a single room for the night, they quickly settled down. After Willow had gotten the kids to lay down, she turned and began talking quietly with Ghost.
She had begun doing this shortly after she left Edain previously. Even though the bird couldn't answer her, she still talked to him as if he were a human.
"Nibbles, what did you see back there? Was Edol in trouble?"
Ghost started to shake his head, but then realized that might not be correct. He had no idea where his friend was now.
It was entirely possible that whoever had raided the house the first time managed to get a jump on the relic team, managing to subdue Edol and his friends before they could fight back.
