Edol's feet finally stopped as he watched the cavern in front of him reluctantly. It would be difficult to move through without coming into contact with the webs- they were too densely spread.
'I really don't want to go in there.'
"Hey Edol, Look!"
Will raised his hand to point at something within the webs.
It wasn't a spider
Shrouded in a thin layer of webs, a reddish-brown chicken was suspended a meter off the ground. The bird was already dead, but the body was still whole.
Edol had read about this before, when he was still back on Earth. Some species of spiders liked to leave their prey bundled up in their webs. After injecting some venom, the spider would let their prey's insides slowly be turned to mush, creating something of a meat smoothie.
