Well, yes? But I wouldn't answer that. It was more prudent that I let her air it all out.
"I try every single day to be useful to you... and yet I still feel like dead weight..." Lise hoarsely whispered out, her initial fervor seemingly evaporating into thin air. "I know I shouldn't feel like this... I can see the massive amount of trust you always give me when you tell me to do stuff... and yet..."
I resisted the urge to rush to her side and smother her in a hug. It was the first thing I did earlier and it cut my sister's venting session off in favor of me putting a band-aid on top of the leak. No... If I wanted Lise to get it all out, I had to be patient and let her completely run out of steam, no matter how much it pained me to watch her unravel...
