I calmly drank my tea in the face of Flare's slanderous truth. Well, it wasn't really slander, so much as it was really the truth. But I didn't want to give her the satisfaction of hearing it come out of my mouth. Hell, you're already smiling from the fact that I already admitted it in my thoughts. Right, Flare?

 

"Why do you even want to suffer?" she inquisitively asked with a smile. "You know you have an aversion to adversity, and yet you willingly take on the worst tests wholly unprepared."

 

I almost did a double-take as Flare told me something so stupid that I found it hard to believe I was even hearing her right.

 

"I'm not that insane," I condescendingly refuted her claim. "I at least prepare for stuff like that."

"And yet you're still here talking about it."
