The uncomfortable aura seeping off of her made me smirk with a sick sense satisfaction. I'm sure she was already chalking up a tally in her head. I wouldn't put it past her to count even the ones she only heard about from the others. Then again, I really shouldn't be doing this to her.
"Still, my suicidal tendencies have given you all a headache, and for that, I apologize." A hitched breath echoed from in front of me. And in a true selfish fashion, I pretended I didn't hear anything as I continued, "It would probably have been better for you all to have just left me to die years ago. I was pretty much outlived my usefullness anyway, what with the books I already wrote being everything I have in my brain already."
