I turned to our beloved Captain Isabella. "Isabella," I began, my voice steady despite the adrenaline still coursing through my veins, "I believe I need to venture out on my own for a while. I want to find some solo matches."
Isabella looked at me, a mix of surprise and respect in her eyes. "You've proven yourself a valuable asset to the Auroran Raiders," she admitted, "But solo matches are a different beast altogether. They require not just strength, but cunning and endurance. Are you sure you're ready for that, my friend?"
I nodded, the decision already made. "I need to do this, Captain, I want to do this. It's the next step in my journey. I want to test my limits, push myself beyond what I think I'm capable of. And to do that, I need to step out of the team's shadow and face the challenges head-on."
Isabella studied me for a long moment before finally nodding in approval.
"Very well," she conceded, "Just remember, no matter how far you stray, you'll always be an Auroran Raider. We're here if you need us."
With that, I thanked the Captain and turned to leave, ready for whatever challenges that lay ahead.
As I walked away from the Auroran Raiders, my thoughts turned to my figure of Athena with her unique abilities.
"Athena," I muttered to myself, "Her Aura Forms are truly something to behold."
Each of these forms allows her to adopt a different elemental attribute, changing not only her appearance but also her capabilities in battle. Before long I was walking around and then I noticed others using Aura Forms during their matches.
"Wow she invoked the Flame Aura, before she became consumed in a blazing fury of heat and flame, capable of incinerating enemies nearby in the blink of an eye," I reasoned.
"When I turned around I noticed another game using the Aqua Aura, to transform into a fluid, resilient embodiment of the sea, with the power to absorb and redirect attacks."
"But it's not just about the elemental strengths," I reflected further, "Each Aura Form also grants Athena special abilities related to the chosen element. The Earth Aura, for example, gives her the power to manipulate the terrain, while the Air Aura gives her unparalleled speed and agility."
As I ventured into the unknown, I couldn't help but wonder how I might one day master such incredible powers. The thought became a beacon of hope in my solitary journey, driving me forward into the uncertain future. While I was here I heard the Game Masters mention something about solo matches being held just down the hall from the entrance. With that I made my way down the hall towards the solo match figuring that this would be the best chance I have to raise my individual Value Points.
While I was searching for the backroom I found a group of Gamers who were talking about taking part in the Solo Matches and followed them. When I arrived in the room I pulled out my Mythical Figure and placed it on the game board.
"Hello everyone I'm glad you chose me as your host today and we have quite a crowd today don't we? Do we have any new Gamers here with us today?" asked Dream Master Roger.
"This is my first time taking part in a solo match," I responded as I raised my hand.
"I'm glad you're here, matches normally contain 4-6 Gamers each of them from different teams and if the members or from the same team they are forbidden to assist each other. Not to worry for today's match you will be working together as a team," explained Dream Master Roger.
This Mysterious World board game is from the Lost Memories series. It is called Inonne Science Department. It was one of the Lost Memories from the planet Mithraeum. While he was explaining everything he began to set up the board as he waited for us to get ready before he could start.
"That should be long enough for you to prepare now everyone gathers around and places your Mythical Figures on the game board right over here. Today we will be competing for these Special Mythical Tickets. Mythical Tickets allow the individual to alter the match and they can also grant a variety of other effects for the Dreamer and their team," explained Dream Master Roger.
As soon as we awoke the four of us found ourselves in front of Inonne Science Department and I waited for everyone to catch up before entering.
"The four Gamers made their way towards the entrance of Inonne Science Department as they awaited for what would happen next. Their mission is to sneak past the security guards posted at the entrance and locate Prof Rocksworth and escort him out of the building safely while avoiding enemy agents lurking inside," narrated Dream Master Roger.
As we began our cautious approach towards the entrance of the Ivonne Science Department, our senses were heightened, echoing the tension in the air. The path ahead was lined with open fields, providing a stark contrast with the looming, state-of-the-art science building. Greenery danced on the periphery as we advanced, the serene tranquility of nature juxtaposed with the thrill of our impending mission. The edifice itself loomed in the distance, gleaming under Mithraeum twin suns. We took note of the security guards, their stern faces a mask of diligence and discipline, their uniforms crisp, their movements precise. Each step we took was measured, our minds acutely aware of the task at hand. Every detail, from the subtle hum of the building's energy core to the sporadic movement of personnel, etched itself into our memories as we prepared for the task at hand.
I watched, heart pounding in my chest, as one of our braver Gamers, cloaked herself within an ice aura, before making a hasty charge towards the guard at the front entrance. While she charged towards the guard she left a trail of ice behind her as he moved forward. She appeared to be using one of the Law Enforcers as her chosen Mythical Figure. The aura that surrounded her body allowed her to move with great speed, her muscles tensed for the confrontation. However, she was stopped immediately in her tracks by a towering figure.
The guard, with a granite gaze and a posture as unyielding as a mountain, stood tall while blocking her path. His stern voice sliced through the air like a cold winter wind, "Halt! What do you think you're doing here?" Aurelia paused, taken aback, "We... uh... we are here for the... um…" She stumbled over her words, her bluff not as polished as her speed. The guard raised an eyebrow, "Unless you have official business here, I suggest you turn around."
The silent standoff that followed was as palpable as the tension before a storm, a moment punctuated by the relentless ticking of the clock and the soft rustle of the field nearby.
As the standoff continued, I carefully studied the guard's eyes, flitting to the subtle adjustments of his stance, the barely perceivable tightening of his grip. My heart pounded in rhythm with the slow, methodical ticking of the clock. As I focused, my Aura Vision flared to life, allowing me to see the guard's hidden energy signature. They flowed around him like a river, vibrant and alive, the pulsating energy outlining his figure in a luminescent glow. Each vibration, each ripple, offered me a glimpse into his next potential move.
Turning my attention towards the two remaining Gamers standing by idly, I couldn't help but tease, "You two planning to join the party or just enjoy the show?" Their faces turned a shade of red, clearly caught off guard by my remark. Despite the intensity of the situation, a ripple of laughter escaped my lips.
Glaring at me, one of the Gamers, a burly man I only knew as "Roark," clenched his fists, the knuckles whitening under the strain. "Enough," he growled, a single word echoing with a primal force that sent a shiver down my spine. Without another word, Roark's body underwent a breathtaking transformation. His body bulked up, muscles ripping through his shirt like an oceanic predator breaking the water's surface. Skin took on a steel-gray hue, reminiscent of a tiger shark, while stripes that reminded me of a tiger's pattern materialized across his newly formed physique.
Roark's eyes, now a piercing ice-blue, locked onto the guard, and in the next moment, he charged, leaping forward with an unearthly roar. The ground quaked under his supernatural strength, each stride carrying the lethal elegance of a shark swimming through the deep blue. He moved with a speed that was staggering, a blur that seemed to embody the very essence of a tiger pouncing on its prey. In the blink of an eye, he was upon the guard, his shark-like teeth bared in a feral grin, his tiger-inspired agility clear in the effortless arc of his leap.
"Yeah, I shouldn't have made him mad," I found myself saying, my words half-drowned out by the roar that was still echoing in the cavernous hall. The other Gamer, whose name had slipped my mind in the heat of the current events, merely nodded, his eyes wide and fixed on the spectacle unfolding before us.
"Roark doesn't usually transform unless he's seriously threatened," Ace added, trying to keep his voice steady.
I swallowed hard, not taking my eyes off Roark as he bulldozed the two guards with his predatory strength and speed. The grim realization that we were in the presence of a truly formidable force sent a collective shiver down our spines.
As Roark's battle cry faded into a haunting echo, we cautiously moved forward, stepping over debris and a now faint energy signature of the guard. I raised my hand, the Card System Device (CSD) clasped within my grip. Its luminescent screen flickered to life, the Extract Card feature ready at my command. With a simple press, I initiated the extraction process on the defeated guard. His once intimidating figure was now nothing more than a potential cache of assets.
The CSD hummed, the screen pulsating with a mesmerizing light, as it began to distill the raw essence of the guard. The uncertainty was palpable. What would we receive? What cards should we anticipate? The guard was a formidable opponent. Perhaps we could expect some form of physical strength enhancement, or maybe a defensive shield ability. His job was to protect, to defend, and given the guard's tenacity, I wouldn't be surprised if there was some form of resilience or endurance card among the potential pickings. But only the extraction process would reveal what lay in store for us.
After the card extraction process was complete, the CSD presented me with an array of seven distinct cards, each representing a unique aspect of the guard's abilities and characteristics:
Security Guard's Shield: A defensive shield ability card, potentially increasing my resistance to physical and energy attacks. Brute Force: A card enhancing physical strength, potentially allowing me to deal more damage in combat. Resilience of the Protector: A resilience card, possibly speeding up my recovery time post-injury.Unyielding Defender: A card designed to enhance my ability to withstand heavy assaults - ideal if facing powerful opponents.Vigilant Eye: A card to enhance my detection of hidden threats, making it harder for enemies to surprise me.Patrol Prowess: A card providing an innate sense of direction, useful for navigating complex environments. Keen Intuition: A card to heighten my ability to sense danger, alerting me to impending attacks or threats.
Studying each card, I had to decide which card would be the most advantageous in my current situation. This was an important decision, as the chosen card could significantly impact my combat style and survival capabilities. With a deep breath, I drew my attention to the points at my disposal.
"Not just that, I only have a few hundred points to spend," I reminded myself, the gravity of the situation settling in.
Every card was desirable, each possessing an allure that called to different aspects of my strategy and survival instincts. But I had to measure their appeal against the stark reality of my limited resources. The decision required careful consideration, a balance of strategic foresight and immediate necessity. It was a daunting task, yet an exhilarating one, a testament to the infinite possibilities that lay within the Garcinia Institute Card System. After careful consideration I chose the Patrol Prowess card which I felt would come in handy when navigating through complex environments.
