Thirty years had passed. Roger's oldest son was now piloting Big O while Big Duo's pilot, Seebach was approaching his retirement. Roger's oldest son had lead an expedition to the north where they had discovered the city, Acropolis. The two territories had formed an alliance and became good allies. Because of this, the Paradigm Electric Federation and Acropolis had lead a joint effort expedition across the sea five years ago and discovered the remains of the continent of Europe. The first country they had visited was the United Kingdom.
Roger's third oldest son, Daniel, had lead the expedition. Before he left, Roger told him to visit the areas Clarkson had told him before left all those years ago. And as if fate had found a way, Daniel had discovered a Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May, the same age as him. The trio fostered a close friendship, and with some help from Beck, invested themselves making a TV show about mechas and cars, called The Mega Tour.
The show had been an instant hit in the UK and in the PEF. Because of the show's demands, Daniel had opted to stay in the UK while the show filmed and return home when they were on break.
Roger, now with salt and pepper hair, smiled at the latest letter his son had sent home. Dorothy was standing next to him, looking at the photo he had sent home.
"I feel like I'm staring at a younger you and a younger them. That is so uncanny they bear so much resemblance to them," said Dorothy.
"I'm just glad he found them. He says he's extended an invitation for them to meet us. Apparently, from what he remembers from the stories from Norman, he says they behave a lot like them."
Dorothy smiled as she placed the photograph in a frame. "I'm glad. Tell him I can't wait to meet them when you write him."
She handed the frame to Roger. The frame was a folding frame that held two pictures. The one on the right was the picture Dorothy had put inside the frame. On the left, was a picture of Roger, Beck, Hammond, May, and Clarkson, all in their pilot suites, taken on the day they had defeated the Gigadeus. She then set it down next to 3 small model cars May had built all those years ago. Roger sighed happily.
Life's been good. I hope those three, if they're still alive, are alright.
Three elderly men were standing on the edge of Scotland's famous lock and staring up at the night sky. All of them were still wearing the same watches Roger had given them all those years ago. While they had missed their world during that time, their friends from the other world never left their hearts or were far from their minds. And with everyone they had known or care about now moved on, there was only one thing they wanted to do. And this time, they had packed well for the journey.
"Ready to go back?" said Clarkson.
May and Hammond nodded.
"I brought plenty of gin this time," said May, smiling.
"And, I brought my helmet," said Hammond.
A fog cloud rolled in from the loch, covering the trio. As it cleared, the shoreline slowly emerged. However, the gentlemen that had been standing on the shoreline were now gone. Only the sounds of the gentle surf could be heard. It was as if the trio had vanished into the fog, like they did all those years ago.
We Have Come To Terms
