"Wow~ What a grand banquet."
Shaelyn was caught in awe once she walked through the grand ballroom entrance. Her remarks were greeted with soft laughter by her husband Alvin. Their hands were linked together.
"From the decorations alone, we can tell how lavish this banquet is," Alvin threw his gaze around the hall. He smiled politely to the acquaintances who met his eyes, "Seems like the entire Ding family is happy with their patriarch's return."
Shaelyn and Alvin walked further into the ballroom. Her floor-length in a deep emerald color was a match to her husband's three-piece suit in the same shade.
The soft, golden glow from the crystal chandeliers hanging above the high ceiling was cast all over the grand ballroom. Every guest who had arrived was talking in hushed, excited whispers about the banquet.
