When i stepped into the room, i was not surprised by choice of decor. Everything here, was mostly black and white, grey could be noticed in some places but it was not as obvious as the two main colours and i loved it.
Caelan knew i had a thing for the colour black, the room screamed dominance and power, And the space was massive. there weren't much windows around, just a few and only the light of the sun shone in the room.
There were three doors that lead to different places and i was curious to know what were behind them. I liked the office, but i also figured out that my mom didn't just send me here to hook me up with a girl, she also built a beautiful prison for me.
Shit!! i cussed in my mind, i knew this was all too suspicious. I don't blame her though, she is only worried and scared for what i am becoming.
As a Tribrid, life isn't that easy. When i was a child, my mother was always on the edge because of how unstable my emotions were, i could cry and cause a flood, i could be angry and by accident, i start a fire or i could go on a killing spree. any emotion i display, had a consequence that is why i spent half of my life learning how to control my emotions. not like it was enough, i ended up numbing my other selves because i wasn't strong enough to handle all three. But after the incident where i lost control of myself and killed half of a city, i tried numbing it but i couldn't anymore and now, my other selves were on stable. that is why my mom is so focused on finding my mate, because my mate is said to be the one to tame me.
My other selves have been really quiet these past few years, and since i was the most powerful supernatural being on earth, the council decided to make me supreme Alpha. But my mom never let her guard down, that was why she built this beautiful prison for me, away from humans, dark and cold just the way i like it.
****** Kalypso's POV *******
Immediately i was dropped by the bus, i ran as fast as i could because the restaurant was still three blocks away from the station. People who saw me running would probably think have lost it.
i stopped in front of the restaurant breathing heavily. i gulped nervously when i saw the name of the restaurant 'Délà Cusinè'. it is one of the most famous restaurant in Canada and i dared arrive late? "ohhh you are so screwed Kal!" i whispered to myself as i entered the restaurant.
The place was bubbling with people, it's so early in the morning yet the restaurant was already packed. i walked in to the counter..
"hey! please i am new here, can you please direct me to the manager's office? " i asked politely, the person i was talking was a bit busy, so he just pointed the door that had 'Manager's office' written on it. i muttered a thanks and headed that way.
i knocked but no one answered. i knock again, again, and again. but still no reply. so i decided to check if he was in the office. i opened the door a little and poked my head through the tiny space. What i saw made me hold my breath.
it was the manager and a woman..... or a girl, and you can guess what they were doing behind closed doors. i quickly shut the door the moment i made eye contact with the girl the manger was banging.
"Ouch!!!" i whispered as i rubbed my head, i shut the door was too hard.
I stood straight up the moment i heard the door open, it was the girl. she had a frown on her face as she looked at me with annoyance.
and i looked back at her with a look that said; it's not my fault you guys didn't lock the door slut.
The manger stepped out of the office and cleared his throat. "i'll see you later Jess" he said to the girl who immediately nodded and left. Not without looking at me with possessed eyes. i fought the urge to roll my eyes.
"come on in miss" the manger said as he walked back into the office, i gulped before entering. the moment the door closed, the manger's expression changed. his eyes slightly darkened.
"Do you know what happens to a lamb who interrupts the meal of a wolf? " he asked with a strained voice and i felt my heart sink in fear. something about the aura in the room made all the hair on my body stand. Why do i feel so scared? and w.. why his he talking like this? i asked myself as i instinctively moved closer to the door.
"The Lamb gets eaten" he answered his own question with an evil smirk and i quickly tried to open the door but in a flash, he had me pinned to the wall with his hands on my neck.
i couldn't believe what was happening, it felt like a dream. clearly the manager wasn't human, he didn't look human anymore. his eyes were as black as night and his teeth looked sharper, he looked like a monster.
i tried to scream but i couldn't, i even struggled to breathe. i tried using my hands to free myself but he held me too tight.
"p.. p... please" i manged to let out before blacking out.
